Coastal Half Marathon
A fast, flat route along the shoreline. Aid stations every five kilometres and a busy finish area that needs plenty of hands.
What the day looks like
The route follows the shoreline from Seaside Park out to the lighthouse and back. It is flat, fast and completely exposed, which means runners reach the aid stations thirsty and the finish area fills up in a hurry.
Volunteers arrive two hours before the first start. You are briefed on site, paired with someone experienced and given everything you need. No previous experience is expected and no running required.
Where we need people most
Aid station crews at kilometres five, ten and fifteen, marshals on the three road crossings, and a finish team handing out water and medals.
