A long day on the ridge
This is our toughest event. Runners are out for anything between eight and twenty hours, the weather changes fast, and the checkpoints are the only warm point on the whole course.
Shifts run in blocks of four hours so nobody is stuck on the mountain all day. Transport to the remote checkpoints is arranged, and hot food is provided at every post.
Where we need people most
Checkpoint teams at the three high passes, a night crew for the section after dark, and drivers to move volunteers between posts.
